Compute.Build was born from a simple, powerful idea: stop reinventing the wheel on every project. Too often, engineers would spend valuable time recreating calculations, workflows, and reports from scratch. We envisioned a platform where these skills and knowledge could be encoded, reused, and scaled across projects, turning engineering expertise into lasting assets for consultancies.
Initially developed to address internal needs at Tyréns, Compute.Build has evolved into a transformative tool backed by Tyréns' commitment to innovation. Designed to empower engineers, the platform enables the effortless building, sharing, and scaling of custom applications. With Compute.Build, every calculation, report, and workflow becomes a reusable asset that can be applied across teams and projects. By capturing these valuable resources within a low-code, Python-based framework, engineering consultancies can save time, reduce costs, and enhance consistency—all while maintaining full transparency and control over complex tasks.
Today, Compute.Build empowers consultancies across diverse engineering fields to centralize their technical tools and seamlessly integrate with essential software. Though our roots lie with Tyréns, we now bring our vision of scalable engineering excellence to firms around the globe. Compute.Build is here to ensure that your team’s hard-earned expertise isn’t just used once—it’s leveraged continuously, driving long-term business value for every project, every time.
Compute.Build is currently developed by a dedicated team of experts in data science, software engineering, structural engineering, and enterprise SaaS. Working closely with hundreds of engineers who actively create and customize applications on our platform, we ensure that every feature and improvement is grounded in real-world engineering needs and challenges. This collaborative approach allows us to continually refine and expand Compute.Build, delivering a platform that genuinely transforms workflows for engineering consultancies.
Founder, Director
Richard, the visionary behind Compute.Build, brings invaluable firsthand experience from his work at AKT II, one of the world’s leading structural engineering consultancies. Specializing in complex geometry, Richard has contributed to high-profile international projects, including the Dubai Creek Footbridge and The Twist Museum in Oslo. His extensive background across diverse structures has given him deep insight into the entire structural engineering lifecycle and the daily challenges engineers face in delivering innovative, precise, and efficient designs.
This practical experience drove Richard to create Compute.Build—a platform designed specifically to address the needs of engineering consultancies. By transforming the workflows, calculations, and expertise of structural engineers into scalable digital assets, Richard and his team are empowering consultancies to optimize their resources and achieve lasting impact across projects.
